The last few days I have been hearing and thinking about comforting Gods people. I had asked Father God to comfort me the way I used to be comforted as I lay in bed getting warm while Mama and Daddy were sleeping yet I knew they were watching over me and my siblings. I could smell the sunshine on my sheets that had been hung outside on the clothesline. The doors were never locked back then. We were all safe and comforted in the knowledge that we could look forward to tomorrow with anticipation. I was born in 1944. I grew up when America looked forward to a prosperous future after a grueling world war. The best years of my life was from 1949-1962 when I graduated from high school in my hometown of Jackson, Alabama. My children all joked that I grew up in Mayberry RFD and it is true. We really were that innocent..... :)
