The last few days have been up and down, but overall upward! There have been some setbacks with the tube being plugged and having to go in and replace the old one with a new one and some miscommunication between doctors and myself. Thankfully, we have worked through most of this and are working toward the goal of me getting back to Reliant Rehabilitation Hospital! I am now completely on tube feeds and off of TPN. I am also able to keep down 2 liters of water a day now and get another liter of water flushed into my tube daily. My goal is to build up to one more liter of fluid daily. My doctor is so confident, he is taking me off of IV fluids today as well. My headaches are a little more under control and have been consistently at about a pain level of 3 rather than 5 on this new pain medication. I have been able to go from taking it every two hours to every three to four hours. Physical therapy still poses to be a challenge, but I believe if I can get back to Reliant and work over there the way they were working with me, I think Id be moving toward recovery pretty quickly. The nausea seems a bit better since Im tolerating more fluids, but still have not been able to hold food down, but this will come and this will not hold me back since I have the feeding tube. The doctor is very optimistic and thinks maybe I could be home after a couple of weeks of rehab and I may be able to go to rehab by the end of this week! Im also sitting up in my bed at a 35% incline! Good things are happening and Im starting to feel a bit better and just a bit stronger, so I know its coming! Jesus, You are my rock! Im excited yall! I cannot wait to be home and back with my family and community! 😀
