The last of the 1/2500 Ambassador Class conversions came in from Starship Modeler today. I was going to skip this one because, as you can see, it has no third nacelle nor AWACS dish on the back just a flat piece that caps it off and thats it. While its $5 to $6 cheaper than the two I just mentioned its rather boring. But then I got that pair of extended nacelles I showed you in my last post about these conversions and realized they would be a great matchup with this kit. My idea is that the ship is a long range deep space explorer. Sort of a later rendition of the Stargazer concept just done from a different technological view. As before, MMI gave this ship the most pedestrian name it could spend 30 seconds coming up with. Good news is I now have all the decals for all the conversions and will be sending scans of them all to Dannon Marsh of Otherworlds Models with more imaginative and hopefully cooler sounding names for each set. Hell also then have the scans for the rest of you folks so if you too decide to buy any of these conversions and likewise dont care for the names and want to name your own ships he can help you out too. The decals do vary somewhat from conversion to conversion (though not all of them) so it was important for me to get them all from that standpoint not to mention that theyre gonna be fun to build. ;)
