The last ten days of Ramadan are very special days in the life of every muslim, they are the most blessed days in the blessed months of Ramadan, because its the Holy month that the Quran was revealed. We support the security agents in maintaining law and order and flushing out criminals in Lamu County but they can not interfere with the freedom of worship by the muslims on this Holy month. Maintaining security in Lamu County is paramount but denying muslim faithful there religious obligation is unacceptable. Muslims in Lamu county should be allowed to go to the Mosque for the last 10 days of Ramadan prayers despite the curfew. Our religious faith supersedes curfew orders and we urge the inspector general of police to review the curfew he imposed in Lamu at least for the 10 remaining days of this Holy month.
