The last two Thursdays were holidays and so I didnt share anything throwbacky but this has always been one of my favorite weekly things to do here so here we go again! Now I know you might be asking yourself, Mot, why would you choose this cheesy disco song to start the new year off? Well, let me tell you, it is just one of those things; this song down has been in my head for a long time but I never could remember who did it. Earlier this week, I finally tracked it down and so its just the newest old thing that was on my mind. I have a very specific memory of being in the hallways at Shorewood Intermediate School, heading from the gym to the locker room and I heard this song playing from the cafeteria down on the other end of the building where they were setting up sound for a dance. I just remembered the ... ooh-woop, ooh-woop, ohh-woop, ohh-woop Wooooooo! vocal part but not anything else about it. So the other day, I finally decided to set out and find out what it was. I started with a simple Google search for disco hits from 1978. That led to a list or two. I looked them over and searched on YouTube for the ones I did not remember, and eventually, YouTube recommended the right song.
