The latest BellerBytes, reprinted in its entirety here, for your reading pleasure... **************** Greetings from down under! Ive been waiting 43 years to say that, and now that Im in New Zealand touring with Joe Satriani, I finally can. Its beautiful here, and word on the street is that Australia is pretty nice too. Just in case you didnt know about this and you live nearby, these are the absolutely final dates of the Joe Satriani Unstoppable Momentum World Tour: Nov 1 - ASB Theatre - Auckland, NZ Nov 2 - Opera House - Wellington, NZ Nov 4 - The Tivoli - Brisbane, AU Nov 6 - State Theatre - Sydney, AU Nov 8 - Palais Theatre - Melbourne, AU Nov 9 - Her Majestys Theatre - Adelaide, AU Nov 11 - Astor Theatre - Perth, AU Nov 13 - The Star Theatre - SINGAPORE What a wild and wonderful ride its been with Team Satch over the past year and a half. I cant thank Joe and his crew enough for being so welcoming and generous to me all this time. Ive been grateful for every second, and hopefully theres more to come. In my spare time Ive been helping to put the finishing touches on the epic 2 (or 3?) disc set Culture Clash Live, which features live Aristocrats performances from literally all over the world - USA, Mexico, Europe, Asia. Its been a huge thing to corral but Im beyond psyched at the near-final results here. Look for an announcement on that in the coming weeks (not months). Meanwhile, if you live in Southern California and want to see some musicians play music as musically as music can be played, you may want to check my website calendar. Ill be sitting in with a new project called NIGHT GALLERY, with Joe Travers on drums, Mike Keneally and Marc Bonilla on guitar, and Jonathan Silverman on keys (plus another bassist playing the material Im too lazy to learn). Its at The Baked Potato and the first show is already sold out! Ill also be sitting in for a tune at the Potato with guitarist Nili Brosh (whose new album A Matter Of Perception Im on for four tunes, in a rhythm section with frightening drummer Virgil Donati). As if thats not enough Potato-osity, Ill be back there on January 21, 2015 with Keneally and Joe Travers for a throwback Mike Keneally trio gig. That should be fun. Plus, The Aristocrats will be doing their first-ever residency in late January at Alvas Showroom, our home away from home venue in Southern California. The purpose is to work up and debut a whole albums worth of brand new material, so we can go into the studio the following week and track it while its hot. Im also excited about the studio in which were doing it: Sunset Sound, where Led Zeppelin IV, Van Halens first five albums, and Rage Against The Machines Battle Of Los Angeles were all recorded, as well as a million other hit records. That gets me all worked up, I have to say. Heres the calendar summary, aside from the current Satch Down Under run: December 10 & 11 Bryan Beller sits in at The Baked Potato 3787 Cahuenga Blvd West. Studio City, CA 91604 Tuesday, December 10: with Nili Brosh Thursday, December 11: with NIGHT GALLERY * (Joe Travers, Mike Keneally & Marc Bonilla) Check the Baked Potato website for ticket and schedule details Wednesday, January 21, 2015 with Mike Keneally (original trio lineup!
