The latest NAM model shows .35 Inches of liquid equivalent for the period ending on Tuesday, January 6th. The WPC forecast shows around .25 Inches of liquid equivalent for the same period for our area. Temperatures are forecast to be in the low to mid 20s for Tuesday. Given the amount of precipitation and the expected temperatures you can calculate how much Snowfall would occur, using the third image as a guide. Lets split the difference and take the average of .35 and .25 which puts us at .30 Inches of liquid equivalent precipitation. Using the temperature chart at the 27 to 20 degrees column you can see that .30 would give us a ratio of 15:1 or about 4.5 Inches of Snowfall IF the storm on Tuesday were to play out as modeled. Some fun math to do, right Jer Darowish? ~ Lazar Vision Weather❄❄❄❄❄
