The latest bulletin from AFP Territory Controller ********************************************************************************************* Christmas Island Police are reminding everyone we are still on a Red Alert. A Red Alert means: -take shelter immediately and stay inside; -stay inside, in the strongest part of your house; -protect yourself with mattresses, blankets, etc. -keep away from doors and windows and keep them closed. -when deemed safe, the Territory Controller will coordinate a post-impact assessment to ensure community safety. -stay indoors until an ALL CLEAR message in given on radio, television, internet or you hear a continuous police siren. -NOTE: DO NOT GO OUTDOORS WHEN THE CALM ARRIVES. STAY INDOORS & REMAIN THERE UNTIL THE ALL CLEAR IS GIVEN. All persons on Christmas Island are urged to keep themselves aware of the situation and alert level by: -Review the BoM website (bom.gov.au) or ring 1300659210 for the latest updates -Tune to ABC News Radio on FM102.1 (Drumsite) and FM105.3 (Rocky Point) for regular updates of the situation -Listen to VHF Marine Channel 12 for regular SECURITE messages from the Christmas Island Police -The CI Buy, Swap and Sell Facebook site also has regular updates -Contact the Christmas Island Police Station on 08 91648444 or 08 91648442, or in an emergency 000
