The latest example of idiocy running wild. Bill Newcomer, board member of a Colorado charter school was the only one to vote nay to allow a 9-year-old to return to school after she had her head shaved to show sympathy and solidarity with her cancer-stricken best friend. Seems shaved heads were against the dress code. This dingbat answered why he did so by saying that decisions should not be made on emotions but on the basis of logic and critical thinking. Clearly he didnt use these attributes in coming to his vote. Had he done so he would have recognized that this girl is not a skin-head Nazi or some gang member. And if his feeble brain couldnt grasp this a brief and simple investigation should have revealed it. Is it any wonder that so much of American education is lagging behind much of the rest of the world with such feeble-minded individuals driving the bus?
