The latest music project I have become a part of , The Demented West , finished out its first set last night at the bar/ burger joint Big Gun. It was very well received with many people dancing and moshing, all coming from a huge range of ethnic backgrounds and diverse demographics. One of the cooler things was that me and my bandmates could see that our music, even though heavy, brought that feeling of excited hopefulness when you hear something that you know its different. I felt as though some of the tougher and less accessible songs were easily grasped by by the audience. And our name is already in the City Paper for next Wednesday. We will be playing at The Sparrow, in park circle, opening up for a band called Finer. Peace be with everyone.
