The latest on the #DiplomaticPost - Megan Couture tells us about her experience as a Fulbright Scholar. Megan Couture, Planner at MWH Global ln Auckland, has recently settled in the city after spending two years there as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Auckland. Megan, who is from South Hadley, Massachusetts, graduated with a BA from Mount Holyoke College in 2011 and completed a Master of Urban Planning degree at the University of Auckland in 2013. In addition to her Fulbright exchange, during her time at UoA Megan researched road typologies and the impact of urban arterial street design on a road’s function – specifically looking into how urban design and planning can address the competing land use, access, transport and, place-based activities occurring along arterial roads. Fulbright New Zealand offers a range of exchange awards for New Zealanders and Americans wanting to study, research, teach or present their work in each other’s country.
