The latest table series is up on my website briarpatchdesign Victoria friends: you can see these tables in person if you want to head on down to see Michael Helm at the Breakwater Cafe & Bistro and have a beer on the new patio I built for them. This series of tables are all made with reclaimed lath from old homes around Victoria BC. Each table we make is unique, and none will ever be exactly the same as the last. The lath that we used for the table tops has been left untouched to allow the patina that has been naturally created over the last 100 years to show through. Each table has been finished with high gloss epoxy to create a food safe surface that highlights the uniqueness of each piece of wood used to create the pattern. The table tops are 48x40. The bases are made with plumbing pipe that has been powder coated in a matte black finish. The designs are inspired by Canadian First Nations art. Please feel free to contact us for custom design orders and pricing inquiries. Big thanks to William Hazen at Barracuda Surfboards for letting me use their glassing bay to lay the epoxy on the table tops. All photos were taken by Adam Gilmer down at TBC Photography Studio Inc.
