The latest update with aging and life dreams has killed the game entirely. (Im on Level 44) Lets take pre-teens as an example. Before this awful update, they went to school, played around doing lots of things, specialized in a hobby (judo/ballet). Now if I actually have a pre-teen available, there is no time for a hobby, nor to attend school, nor even to swim in the pool. They need to focus on one activity, their life dream - pathetically boring. Which leads to difficulty with weekly tasks - do I actually have a pre-teen able to do judo, or someone who can devote a day focusing on something else. Most of the hobbies take hours and hours to master (much longer than a life-cycle), so Ill soon have no-one alive who has had time to complete a hobby, let alone a career. My male pre-teen just aged to a teenager (I used him for a Judo Competition) - now I have no judo expert. And NO I am not going to continually spend LPs on them to keep them at their current age. Its like fighting a never ending battle. No thanks. Not interested. The orbs are a ridiculous idea, and like most of the tasks - probably going to take eons to achieve. Forget the social tasks at my neighbors - who has the time for that. Forget the daily competitions - a sim has no time to learn hobbies. So now we have repetition too - having to always redo hobbies and careers (assuming of course there is time). Im not going to spend LPs on clothes for my sims, who will soon die - whats the point. Nor do I now need to have all the toys for toddlers, etc. All that is needed in a house now are the basics. The sims I dont want to die too quickly (because of their hobby level) now just stand around doing nothing. I didnt know the idea of a game was to do nothing or only one thing. How exciting it is now (not) - do one thing with your sim - that one thing not your choice of course. Then watch them die. Talk about a brain dead game. This is NOT the same game, and it sucks.
