The latest word from Com Ed is that power should be restored to the majority of Morrison by the end of the day, with the exception of a few isolated areas. The City will be picking up brush from the curbside in the next couple days, so if you can get branches and limbs in a manageable size to the curb, that would be great! For those wanting to volunteer, please look to those that may need assistance getting storm debris to the curb. In regard to food safety... Keep the refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible. A refrigerator will keep food cold for about four hours if the door is kept closed. Discard any perishable food (such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and leftovers) that have been above 40 °F for over 2 hours. A full freezer will hold its temperature for about 48 hours (24 hours if half-full). Just so thankful no one was injured and that the schools had let students out early.
