The law comes to effect when sin is committed. Christians - TopicsExpress

The law comes to effect when sin is committed. Christians today go out saying “We are no longer under the law but saved by graced” Yes WE are saved by grace, however that’s not how you see it or interpret it. Christians make excuses to do whatever they wish or like. That’s the reason why we need to use the Holy Spirit God gave us so that we don’t mislead people. They make excuses that “ITS ALL ABOUT FAITH AND JESUS ABOLISHED THE LAW” That’s not correct. Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them” He came to fulfill the prophecy of the Old Testament. The Old Testament talks of Jesus. John 5:46-47 “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” Christianity today; says you can do anything, say anything etc and still receive eternal life in Jesus. That’s the reason why you see women going to churches dressed in jeans; make up, earrings, braded hairs, leg-ins etc. Its so sad, especially this New Age churches. Let’s look at the verses that confuse people. Romans 6:14,15 “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. This means Sin or the law shall not have dominion over you, if you don’t break the law. It only comes into effect, once you break it. Romans 3:19,20 “Therefore by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin” We have to be taught the law to recognize sin. Romans 3:31 “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid; yea, we establish the law.‟ In other words, by following what Jesus said, by working through Him in faith – do we then remove the law, does it no longer exist? – God forbid, by doing so, you establish the faith. In other words, by travelling at 120km speed limit in a 60km zone, you are enforcing the law. Romans 7:12 “Wherefore the law if holy and the commandment holy and just and good.‟ The law applies after a sin is committed. That’s when the law comes into effect. The standard of judgment is the law of liberty. What is sin: 1 John 3:4 „Whosoever committeth sin, transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.‟ And if we deny sin, we are deceived: 1 John 1:8, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.‟ And Rom 4:15 „..where no law is, there is no transgression” The 10 commandments still applies: Matthew 19:16-17 “Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life? So He said to him, why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments
