The law of survival dictates that when a CEO is new in an organisation,he should resist initiating drastic changes in the hope of appearing to casual observers that the future of the organisation is in the right hands. He should study the existing culture carefully before initiating substantial changes. History is full of examples of failed executives that attacked organisational culture on day one. The most recent one was the attempt by AVB to change culture at Chelsea Football Club,by sidelining known players in favour of youngsters . He was sacked in order to safeguard the existing culture. Another one was Scolari at Chelsea. He attempted to change culture immediately he was appointed manager and was relieved of his position. Governor Kidero has started dismantling the existing culture without understanding it and this is bound to fail miserably. He should learn from the failed executives worldwide and adjust accordingly or else he will regret in the near future.
