The leadership, staff, and volunteers of the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Gonzaga University, its Athletic Department and of course the fine young men who are the Gonzaga Bulldogs!! The team took a time out from the court... to visit and personally thank the Veterans and staff for their service at the medical center yesterday! It was fantastic too. The team generously made time for handshakes, hugs, pictures, and even visited Veterans in their hospital rooms or common areas. They brought cheer and great vibes to everyone who was here late in the day. They heard stories from Veterans and the players shared their individual personalities. We extend additional thanks to Graduate Assistant Coach and former player Mike Hart for being the team lead on their visit to the VAMC - where we all wished the Zags continued success in basketball and in life! Imagine waiting on the elevator to the surprise of finding the Bulldogs basketball team on board at the VA! Go Zags!!
