The letter from make-A-Wish: Hi Leah, It was great meeting you yesterday! You have BEAUTIFUL children and I so enjoyed hanging out with them yesterday!! We will wait to hear about passports and as soon as we get those, we can make flight arrangements. However, we have been “shopping” around for tickets so we can move a bit quicker once we receive the passports and we noticed a few things. Arrival time seems to be a bit better flying directly into Nassau rather than what you mentioned by flying into Florida and taking a ferry across to Atlantis. While I think that may be a fun activity, I’m afraid you will lose valuable time at Atlantis by taking that transportation. Ultimately, we want Gigi and you to have the most time enjoying her wish and flying directly in will give you that. The Atlantis resort also offers limo transportation from the airport to your resort and back again on the day of your departure. I think that would be the best option for you, however, if you’d like me to look into the ferry transportation that your sister mentioned, I’d be happy to do that. I’m unsure of the hours the ferry runs and if we can get you there in time on the arrival day. By the time you arrived, the day would be mostly over. If she has a name of the company she’s used, that would be helpful. I will do my best to accommodate what Gigi wants…though I may draw the line on the “being dropped into the ocean in a cage and have big sharks swim dangerously close to me” request!
