The level of ignorance on this feed is very alarming. And exposes the failure or maybe the success of the education system in America. Let me educate some of you. Africans were taken from Africa and brought to North and South America. That includes Jamaica, Haiti, and all the Latin countries in the carribean. So if you are of color then you are more than likely of African descent. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Calling ourselves African American is no different than an Italian American referring to themselves as such or a Jewish American. They are Caucasian as we are black or negroid. No one tells a Korean that they shouldnt call themselves Asian American. Stop the self hate and embrace your heritage. Everything fabulous about this part of the world is direct connection to our African roots. African heritage is the soul of North and South America.
