In an era in which 30% of Premier League managers last for less than a year, he lasted for 26 years winning 13 league titles and 25 other domestic and international trophies. Before he joined Manchester United, the club had never won a trophy in 20 years. Was Fergie always this good? In the 1970s, Fergie was sacked from his job as coach of St. Mirren. They said he wasnt good enough. They described him as immature, petty and having no managerial ability. Oh Ferguson? Yes, Ferguson! Even in 1989, he came under a lot of fire for poor performance at Manchester United. Journalists and pundits called for his removal- trust the British press. No one in this world always does right.
