The life of a rancher is never easy. Weather plays a huge roll in our lives. While we are not as dry as we have been in some years…we are extremely dry at our main pasture. Keeping our cows in tip top body condition is our number one goal. We have an outstanding nutrition program where we meet the requirements of the cow throughout the changing seasons. Due to the lack of rain and our grass drying up, 30% protein tubs are placed for cows to make up for the protein the grass is lacking. Also mineral tubs and salt blocks are put out to give the cow the complete balance of what they need. Due to no hard rains for the last two years our ponds are low... so fresh cold water is also hauled out twice a day. Happy cows make us happy! :) (Pics taken on phone)
