The lighthouse opens at 10am today and the sun is shining. Come along to the Mull of Galloway today to climb to the top of the lighthouse and check out the views, take a wander around the exhibition to learn how the lighthouse keepers and their families used to live and see the old diesel engines in the engine room. Visit the Fog Horn, stand alongside it and take in the views, be sure to look out for porpoises, dolphins or even basking sharks. At 1pm you can join the guided walk with RSPB Jone or Rob - take a walk around the reserve and your guide will tell you about the latest sightings and point out birds and wildlife along the way. Throughout July theres also the RSPB Wildlife Explorer Trail, Starts from RSPB Visitor Centre. Various self-guided trails throughout the month suitable for children and families. Coffee and cake or a spot of lunch in Scotlands most southerly coffee house and gift shop is highly recommended. A great family day out at the Mull of Galloway.
