The likelihood of a firearm being compromised in a school is real. If the teacher or other school officials walk around with it on their person, the intimidation of the kids will be a real issue. If they keep the gun locked up then ease of access in a crisis warranting the use of a gun is compromised. Keeping it in a convenient drawer will invite curious kids to be attracted to it. All of these factors make gun possession be school teachers and school officials a moot point.
