The link posted below is a reminder that this isnt a game and theres nothing easy about the split second decision you or I may have to someday make to protect ourselves, our family, or others we care about. If you think itll be easy and that you can blow smoke from the barrel like Dirty Harry, holster your weapon, and walk away and get a good nights rest, I urge you to watch this raw emotion brought on by a train LEO that had to defend himself in the line of duty. This isnt something thats widely talked about, but its reality. Taking a human life, justified and under duress and completely legally sound in the eyes of the law, can still take a toll on ANYONE. I dont post this to make you second guess your decision to protect yourself, and by all means, please protect yourself and anyone else that cant protect themselves, but instead I post it because I think everyone should be prepared for the psychological repercussions involved in such an action.
