The little old man and his wife lived here for years and they added to this little old house from time to time and loved it. David and I bought the house about a year after Katrina and we love it, too. It quickly became home. Every now and then I get a gift left over from the little old man and little old lady and it makes me smile, In the fall, we have what I call mystery lilies that are single stemmed, no leaves, and come up at different times, different places. Today I looked out toward the road and got another gift from the former owners - paperwhites blooming along a ridge where none had been seen before. I sometimes have to talk with Ms. Hattie, long gone to her reward and today I had to thank her for putting these in the ground that only she knows when she did it and we get to enjoy them.
