He became famous after gaining a spot into the top 10 in the Korean challenger scene. Hes well known among other korean players for his aptitude to win lanes even versus pro players, and his knowledge of the game overall. Hes a huge solo queue player, famous for being able to play nearly every role, but especially mid lane. He has 4 accounts: Apdo, Dopa, Dopa0,and Tar ar ais. He puts his aptitude to carry games in solo queue by offering elo boosting on Korean servers, leading him to become a loathed player among others, he also had adopted a troll behavior in some games, sometimes leading him to decide if hell win or lose on purpose for the sake of other players (cf the challenger last ranking of S3 in korean server). He had, during early S3, received a team proposition from CJ Entus Frost, but declined it, because he said that he gains more money by elo boosting than going pro. But, however, he, along some of his friends, created Team Dark to conquer the OGN championship. Unfortunately the Korean community, who were half lovers/half haters of Apdo, didnt want him to compete in the professional scene because of his in game behavior and his past of elo booster, creating controversy along the situation. They made it to the group stages but were eliminated before entering to the playoffs. He got banned for 1000 years because of his elo boosting features. A girl famous in Korea LoL for wanting to seduce pro players of the scene had a crush on Apdo, but Apdo who had already a girlfriend and was continuing refusing her advance didnt care. The girl in question went to his elo boosting service to ask him out, but he ignored her leading her to be upset and giving Koreas Riot proof of his elo boosting business; after that he got banned on his main account for 1000 years and from competitive play for 2 years. This became the main reason involving the creation of many alternative accounts. September 30, 2014, during a trip to China, he reached rank 1 rank on the Singapore server, on his account Dopa 丶 YY90888. He made it in 197 victories and 63 defeats, which is a 75% winrate. Trivia Hes well know for his in game mechanics and prediction, and his ability to carry a game fast and safely. Famous for being compared to Faker, and hes one of the few who are able to not fall in mid lane versus him if the match ups are equal, however he said that Faker was still better than him, but theyve totally different play styles. Known for having a 89% win rate on a smurf account, also having many times 30 games + win streak on new accounts. He also had 4 of his accounts in the challenger tier. His smurf Tar ar ais means Comeback in Gaelic, if its done on purpose or not we dont know, but its quite funny since he did make a comeback by having a new account and rushing the ladder again. Many players regard him as a great all around player despite his behavior in game. Said that he prefers elo boosting rather than being pro because the income was better.
