The long road back to Birmingham: Tomorrow will see me once again on the road to Birmingham to set at least three cage traps for foxes suffering bad cases of Sarcoptic Mange. All in different areas of Birmingham / West Midlands but some of these areas are becoming regular trips and some may be to catch members of the same family of some of our patients already in. Throughout this year we have already sent hundreds of bottle of mange treatment to Birmingham with brilliant results so at least those foxes are now well. So we hope with a few more captures we can resolve the problems in and around this area. It is lovely to see the foxes in our care getting better but we must also consider the ones we have prevented from getting this dreadful condition by cage trapping the worst effected and by treating the ones that started to show signs. The photos included in this post are of one of the three that a cage trap will be set for in the morning.
