The lord said he would let moses see the land with his eyes, but would not be able to cross over to jordan. At 120yrs of age moses with eyes that were not so weak,and though still vigorous,his mission came to an end. What a drama! What a pity! What an inward pain! What a sense of accomplishment mixed with disappointment must been in moses eyes as he looked over the land. The painful,difficult and formative years of a new nations experience in the deserts were past. The promised land lay before him ,but his mission was over.
