The love and light perspective appears to me to be considerably more negative, judgmental and even sanctimonious than is generally perceived! It is often then asserted that those of us who do not apply this principal as the sole or at least main interpretation of YCYOR are poor lost souls who have apparently not found our bliss or aligned with our joy and continue to live without the benefit of this most dogmatic point of view to which “those in the know are apparently the sole custodians and purveyors of such truth! This is not to say that there is no reality or value to love or joy or any other of the plethora of “positive” emotions.,states of being and/or perspectives! In fact I would agree that love is the very essence of consciousness! The point is that one does not invalidate the other! More than two parts of a whole.,the “light & dark” are.,in fact..,a shorthand for a much larger perspective! In this..,it continues to confound me how such bright, intelligent people..,those who are well versed in YCYOR.,can be so insistently judgmental of anything that is even a shade darker than pure white! The point of living is this realm is to engage ALL experience as provided by this realm and our creation of it! It is not to filter our experiences down to only the most palatable and sweet tasting variety! Such judgments lie in the parlance of ego as does a strictly “love & light” approach! David Creagh
