The love of God will cause you to take a wrecking ball to your own inner structure, to break down walls, and tear open windows once sealed, so that the breeze that is fresh like spring can blow freely through the house. It will never motivate you to take a wrecking ball to the lives of others... But will rebuild broken bridges, mend fences and open gates, reconnect the server and turn back on the porch light.. It will never burn in anger towards another leading to fires that cannot be quenched with shallow words, but will burn with compassion even for the value of those whose values complete conflict with your own.. The love of God will seem to take the bite out of mighty shows of strength, power, and force, and blow in such a wind of mercy service and sacrifice that will astound even the most wise.. who will humble themselves, not at the ones so captivates by that love but by the one in whom that love is vested.. To love God is to love others so passionately that you cannot be overtaken by their demeanor, character, or position because you are so caught up in them as people.. As ones like you that need, hurt, expect, hope, cry, laugh, feel empty, and the need to be filled with that same love. It takes a real man and a real woman (genuine, sincere, and of great strength) to love in the face of hate, cynicism, sarcasm, disillusionment, fear, resentment and dread.. The love of God fills empty water bottles with enough to give every neighbor a refreshing drink. If thats not the way we as a people are in this great country, we should be.
