The madness of the pardonLorsqu we were offended, hurt, it happens that the undergone wound invades us, that it occupies all the place in our thoughts. It happens that we keep rehearsing constantly the undergone evil by wishing ardently for the repair of the injustice to see offenders punishment. All this is human, but it can be also future a trap in which we find ourselves locked: the desire of vengeance, the trap of the rancor. The Christ Jesus, by giving freely his life onto the cross, came to open us the path of the freedom, the path of the forgiveness. When, crucified, he pronounced the words: father, forgives them they do not know what they are doing , he opened for ever the inexhaustible source of the divine forgiveness. The Cross, by which we wanted to put to death him, soothsayer then the sign and the instrument Of his victory on the hatred, on of the violence. Resuscitated, victorious of any evil, the Christ accompanies us on the paths of our forgivenesses today. He precedes us there and invites us to move forward with confidence there. In him what seems to us beyond our strengths becomes possible. With him by our side, we can answer this requirement of the madness of the forgiveness, which is not weakness but strength of love. It can take time, but God is patient...
