The magnificent Parkview Golf course has been an integral part of the suburbs around it for almost 100 years. Many residents are club members, but it’s becoming increasingly important to retain the course as a suburban green lung as well as a valuable amenity for the community - a place where you can enjoy a round of golf, have brunch, watch a game/festival or walk the dogs, whether you’re a golfer or Parkview Residents’ Association member. The Parkview Golf Club (PGC) has acquired a reputation of friendliness among the golfing fraternity and would like to build closer ties with the residents who live around its course. Golfers young and old are welcome, but family members, friends and residents can also benefit from coming to this beautiful venue. The PCG is also home of four-time winner of The Open Championship (British) Bobby Locke and it celebrates its centenary in 2016. It is one of the most prestigious golf clubs in South Africa. The 18-hole, par 72 Parklands course is admired for the condition of its fairways and greens, its well-appointed clubhouse and the true fellowship among members.
