The main point is to increase student engagement. However, I see its correlation with making disciples--following our voice. It is acknowledged that narrative is significant for teenagers. But story telling isnt a new approach or method for children (including teenagers), is it? I wonder whether our emergent problem to engage with them is because our lack of skill to tell stories (In our culture, we are familiar with mendongeng). Many teachers are busy to apply new methods for class management, you may name them, such as 21th century class management, cooperative learning, collaborative learning, etc. Then now, we realise that it is back to the core of what learning is.
