The main reason why economists cant overthrow capitalism is because it is the method for the maintenance of status and power. It is part of an agende in political warfare. Capitalism remains the best candidate viewed from a multi-disciplinary level in most of the western and modern world I would think. There are many discrepancies in who deserves power and who doesnt, and power relations arent divided equally. There is no one world consensus between all nations and countries, so when we start an enlightenment era in economics the parties who oppose the enlightenment from happening are in a position to exploit the fragility of the open system and gain excessive power (just like bully). Capitalism is just a defense mechanism and mentality to attain and maintain power and status in the world on all scales I think. The competitive and independent behavior vs coopetitive and interdependent behavior. We can only be interdependent when all of humanity is one, and united under 1 value system.
