The main takeaway I got from this is that defensiveness is something we all have to take extreme measures to avoid when challenged about our progressive bonafides. OTOH, theres still something unsettling about all this. Is there a near future where during a job interview ones political beliefs and views are going to be scrutinized for ideological purity? Im not sure thats awesome…especially if reactionaries start doing the same thing.
