The majority of we Jews are most proud of our ethnicity. We are quite aware of the stereotype that has been given to us that we are frugal and good with money. But the same can be said for any number of ethnic groups and is more of a quality than a put down. My wife is Korean and has the same smart way with money. Someone sent me this joke using a Jewish man. Substitute any ethnic group that’s smart with money – it will work. Enjoy the joke!! A Jewish man walked into a bank in New York City. He explained to the loan officer he was going to Israel on business for two weeks and wished to borrow $5,000. The loan officer told him the bank needed security for the loan. The Jewish man handed over the keys to a new Ferrari that was parked on the street. The loan officer agreed. The banks president and its officers enjoyed a good laugh at the $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the banks underground garage. Two weeks later, the Jewish man returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest, which came to $15.41. The loan officer said, Sir, we are very happy to have your business, but we are puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is why would you bother to borrow $5,000? The Jewish man replied: Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?
