The making of Episode VII will possibly go down as one of the most - TopicsExpress

The making of Episode VII will possibly go down as one of the most intriguing back room dramas in Star Wars history (were not talking Sony-Spider-Man level drama of course)--- From the original story treatment by George Lucas and its being reworked after the Disney Merger by Michael Arndt, the daunting task of securing a director- finding JJ, and then the ensuing power conflicts over story direction, character, release dates and creative control being fraught over between JJ & Bad Robot and Kathleen Kennedy & Lucasfilm, and finally casting, shooting and editing- Star Wars: The Force Awakens is already the most interesting film on the horizon and with literally the stars as its destination, will we be ushered into a new age of great Star Wars stories and cinema magic, or will we be doomed to an endless corporate slate demanding we buy merchandise, tickets, and sequel/prequel/spinoff/reboots?! Only December 18th, 2015 has those answers, and its 347 days from now. Until then, lets take a look back at the making of one of the most disappointing films of all time- and at least for me personally a look at the artist as villain in The Beginning: Making Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
