The man accused of trying to defraud the Gautrain Management Agency of millions of rands has made a brief appearance in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court where it’s emerged he will also be charged with defrauding the South African Post Office bank. Thirty-year-old Israel Busang was arrested at his home in Ga-Rankuwa yesterday after a two-week investigation by the Hawks. He allegedly planned to steal R800 million from the Gautrain Management Agency by hacking into its financial system.
