The mayor and council recently applied for and accepted a $294,358 DCED state grant (your tax dollars) to cover pay raises and the creation of a few jobs. Our elected officials fail to remind you that next year you all will pay 1/3 of those costs followed by 2/3 the next year and eventually covering all the costs. All of this when your property taxes recently increased by 57% topping it off with a 69% garbage fee hike. Politics as usual?
