The media is trying so hard to get me scared of ISIS that its starting to feel like its a new sitcom on ABC. This fall after Modern Family...its IS-ish! I mean, I get that theyre good at making violent viral videos but so is Solange and were not sending drones after her. Just feels like another lap of You Should Be Scared (Ebola! SARS! Bird flu! WMD! Etc!) because fear is the best/last way to get us to line up and pay attention and watch commercials for Activia and buy Halliburton war toys and keep the MEDIAWARPHARMABANK machine pumping. Thats why weve got yet another President telling us that dropping bombs on Iraq is gonna make things better as if there wont just be some new group of crazy freaks with a weirdo name that wants to kill us once these guys are disappeared. Ive seen this Tom and Jerry episode before. You throw dynamite in one hole, but the mouse just comes out the other one.
