The media spin on Debo Adegbiles rejection by the Senate Judiciary Committee to head the Dept. of Justices Civil Rights Division, is that he didnt get the nomination because he defended Mumia Abu-Jamal, and after all, everyone deserves a proper defense in court. What I have heard, but not read in the paper, is that not only did Adegbile defend him in court (which is what attorneys are supposed to do), but he also attended rallies and demonstrations in his favor. So, not only did he do his job by defending him in court, but he exhibited solidarity and common cause with the accused cop killer. Sometimes the difference between a statement being the truth and a lie is what you DONT say. Do you see a car coming?, asks the driver before pulling out into traffic. No replies his passenger, so the driver proceeds and gets t-boned by an 18 wheeler. The passenger didnt lie, but it certainly wasnt the whole story.
