The meeting at Ed Rice to protest the cuts of several bus routes was very informative and I believe it will make a difference. Just listening to the people speak about how a 70 yr old man with one leg would have to walk 2/3 blocks to catch a bus just to go to Veterans hospital. Those people lost arms and legs fighting for us....and Memphis cant give them reliable transportation to the doctor.....Alot of citizens asked where the Mayor was and why wasnt he at Ed Rice to answer the people. It was always stated the Mayor does not care about his citizens because he is always cutting in areas that affect BLACK PEOPLE.After the meeting someone from Mata supplied 3 buses to transport the citizens home..
