The memories and good times Ive had over the years playing at Lords Missionary Baptist Church. This is one of the most SANGINIST churchs in Dallas Tx. Pastor Carlton Garrett treated. me like a son and mother Garrett too. Everytime i played the organ she would yell out YESSAHH PLAY IT SON (priceless) The last time I saw him was October 2011 downtown at the JBAAL for the Gospel Roots celebration in played in and he said Son where have you been we been praying for you we heard about your surgery how are you now...I said Im good now he said OK well I expect to see you and the next 1st Sunday night musical playing. I simply replied Yes Sir but a few weeks later God called him home to rest. It hit me pretty bad because I didnt go to the musical nor his funeral due to me being ill. But I did go the 1st Sunday musical in December 2011 and it tore me up to not see him and hear him call my name out when introducing the musicians. That was the last time Ive been to the church.
