The message of biblical Christianity is not God loves me, as if we were the object of our own faith. It is that God loves me so that I might make him- his ways, his salvation, his glory, and his greatness- known among ALL NATIONS. Now God is the object of our faith...We are not the end of the gospel; God is. [ Radical- David Platt] and the basis for His choice in election was for God alone to decide and its not like an invitation that one might accept or reject but rather its the affectual calling drawing to Himself His elect regenerating and enabling us to respond in faith towards Christ giving us the gift of repentance revealing the nature of His sacrifice binding us with the true intellectual realization of our sinful condition converting us and turning us from our previous malicious disposition ultimately leading to a legal declaration by God that weve been made right in His sight justification being credited to us on the basis of the righteousness of Christ adopted to be children of God, and grafted into fellowship being bound together by the blood of Christ into a common membership sanctified by the Spirit given gradual growth in holiness increasing in our thinking and behaving in ways that shows that were chosen, and all the while being preserved, and upheld according to His sovereign providence giving us confidence that Hell carry us to completion just like He promised And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Phil 1:6) Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.
