The mighty HAWKWIND at the absolute height of their powers. This is madness in a can - sometimes pleasing but as often as not disturbing, while just always absolutely unrelenting 70s space rock. Few bands can jam out on one note and keep it interesting for anyone other than their drug addled selves, but Hawkwind, at their best, really just make you feel like you are in a washing machine thats falling down an HR Geiger-esque set of stairs thats tottering on the edge of a black hole. For my money they are the apex predators of the phsychedelic evolution. This just really is one of the all time great live albums.
