The migratory bird watching event that was organized by both Baringo and Elgeyo Marakwet Counties took place yesterday at Tugumoi,the border point of the two counties,but no birds were on sight. Both counties set aside huge amounts of budget for the event that was attended by the two deputy governors.Tourists,members of press and other visitors who were anxious to see and capture the event left the scene not happy.This was indeed the poor timing for both counties since the birds passed through there a day earlier.Bird watching is a rare phenomenon that is considered as a tourist attraction.The birds migrate from Europe to South Africa every year.
