The military and the first responders often are thanked and praised more since 911 and that is a great thing in that they deserve every bit of it. On Labor Day we should think that worker who asks for nothing but an opportunity to better him/her self and often to take care of loved ones. Many go to jobs that are mundane and boring and receive little compensation and even fewer benefits. I remember when Cal Ripken broke the Iron Man record a reporter in the D.C. area wrote of a man who worked for the post office. He had worked there something like 60 years and never missed a day and probably not one day was he praised. A thank you or a" good job "does not cost us much .We are in this play called life with many others ,it would mean so much to their day to hear a kind word. Try this not just today but more often ,it will mean a good deal to them and it will make you feel good at the same time.
