The mind of an African is a wealth of potential tgat needs to be tapped into. We have so many innovative and creative Africans that are not utilising their creativity because it was never nurtured. I remember growing up, i was told that for my life to be better i had to go to school, get a degree and get a job in most cases as a doctor, lawyer, accountant etc. But no one ever taught me to dream bigger, no one dared to tell me that instead of being paid to fish ( work) i could dare to dream to one day own that fish pond no matter hw small (own my own busiiness) what we need in Africa is not just an education that enables us to work but an education that enables us to produce for ourselves and to own. The future of Africa does not lie in us creating employment opportunities by calling in foregn investors but it lies in u us empowering our people with the right gifts and the right tools to build our own industry. Given the opportunity Africans are the most innovative people i know however a change of mindset is required, because what we need is a people that dare to dream and go out there to build that dream. Empowerment is not only about indegenising foreign firms but availing resources to me the African child to build MY dream.
