The mirror of the Word as the Law of Moses will expose your sin; the mirror of the Word as the perfect LAW OF LIBERTY will expose you as righteous in Christ. The Law of Moses can NEVER transform you, only peering into the law of liberty that declares your innocence and original design hidden in Christ can and WILL transform you! Repentance in its fullness is believing what God says about you in Christ! "But until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is on their heart. But whenever it turns to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. And the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord Spirit." ~ 2 Corinthians 3:15-18
