The mission of Performing Arts Angels is to enhance the education of students in the WSU School of Performing Arts. In less than one year, the response to our request for funds has allowed: •$5,000 toward 20 dance students to attend and perform for the for the University of Colima, Mexico, Invitational Dance Program. •$3,900 toward 10 theatre students to attend a National “Movement and Combat Education Conference” in Chicago. •$1,000 toward 2 Music Theatre students to attend the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition in New York City. •$4,810 toward 10 theatre Production, Design and Technology students to attend the United States Institute for Theatre Technology in Fort Worth, Texas With over $20,000 raised…we’re just getting started! It’s exciting that contributions thus far have allowed these “student education enhancement” opportunities for students in all four parts of the WSU Performing Arts: dance, theatre performance, music theatre, and theatre design & technology. More funds are needed to be able to provide for the other phase of our mission – Scholarships! We all know about the escalating costs of college educations. So your contribution (at any level comfortable for you) is greatly appreciated. Remember, “You give it – We pass it on” to Performing Arts students.
